“Work Together with Unchanging Ambitions, Pioneer the Future” - S.C Celebrated Inauguration of Its New Industrial Park

On the morning of November 26th, S.C Corporation held a "New Industrial Park Inauguration Ceremony" at the new industrial park of Changzhou S.C. A total of more than 300 guests, including customers, excellent suppliers, government leaders, industry associations, investment organizations, news media, etc., were invited and finally attended the ceremony.

The S.C New Industrial Park Inauguration Ceremony started out with a brilliant drum dance. As the show began, the sound waves of the drums vibrated with the dashing dance moves of the drummers and resonated across the sky. 

Yu Zhong

General Manager of S.C

At the beginning of the ceremony agenda, Mr. Yu Zhong, General Manager of S.C, delivered a speech.

On this special day for S.C, Mr. Yu reflected on S.C's two decades of experience in the photovoltaic industry, where we have persevered through trials and tribulations with rock-hard work and pragmatism.

It has been quite a journey from our old Changzhou factory to our new industrial park today. Mr. Yu pointed out that no matter in the past or in the future, S.C has always taken and will always take "Synergy, Focus and Innovation" as its main spirit, in which synergy is the foundation, focus is the essence, and innovation is the soul. In the end, he quoted, "What's past is prologue; what to come, In yours and my discharge." This is a new beginning and a new journey for S.C. We will not stop our steps to follow the light and build dreams.

Zhou Qing

Secretary of the CPC Changzhou Xinbei District Committee, Deputy Secretary of Changzhou National Hi-Tech District Party Working Committee

Zhou Qing, Secretary of the CPC Changzhou Xinbei District Committee, Deputy Secretary of Changzhou National Hi-Tech District Party Working Committee, was next to give a speech.

Mr. Zhou noted that Changzhou is an international smart manufacturing city with a century of industrial heritage. In recent years, the city has developed the new energy industry in depth, forming a closed ecological cycle of power generation, storage, transmission and consumption, ranking 5th in the country in terms of industrial agglomeration and 1st in the country in terms of investment fever. Riding the crest of the leading advantages, Changzhou is emerging as a "new energy capital", leading the Yangtze River Delta region and having a national and global impact.

Mr. Zhou hoped that Changzhou S.C would seize the opportunity for development from the new beginning and continue to make greater contributions to the capital of new energy. The Changzhou Hi-Tech District will support the growth and development of Changzhou S.C as always, and continue to provide enterprises with the most efficient, comprehensive and professional services. Also, Mr. Zhou sincerely invited everyone to have a deeper understanding of the "time" and "situation" of the Hi-Tech District's development, and welcomed everyone to the new energy capital for more opportunities for cooperation.

Wang Shijiang

Secretary General of China Photovoltaic Industry Association (CPIA)

The next guest to speak on stage was Dr. Wang Shijiang, Secretary General of CPIA.

Dr. Wang discussed with the audience the development opportunities of the photovoltaic industry. He said: First, our photovoltaic industry is incredibly promising because the photovoltaic industry in China is one of our industries with the highest degree of technical controllability, the most complete supply chain and the strongest international competitiveness. In the next eight years, we will see huge market potential in the photovoltaic industry with 700GW of global photovoltaic market additions per year.

Second, our photovoltaic equipment industry has made a real difference. The reason that has better guaranteed the improvement of photovoltaic technology in China, the grid parity in China, and the safety of the industry in China is that we have realized the autonomy and controllability of photovoltaic production equipment. The photovoltaic industry in our country wouldn't have been where it is today without the photovoltaic equipment industry. He expected that the cumulative market size of photovoltaic equipment would hopefully exceed 500 billion yuan by 2030.

In his speech, Dr. Wang also acknowledged the achievements Changzhou has made in developing the PV industrial park and forming an industrial cluster, and recognized the honors S.C has received in the course of its development. He warmly congratulated the grand inauguration of the new industrial park of Changzhou S.C, and concluded by stating that he was more than honored to witness another new beginning for Changzhou S.C.

Shi Zhengrong

China’s PV Leader, Founder of Wuxi Suntech, Member of the Australia’s National Academy of Technical Sciences and Engineering

Subsequently, Dr. Shi Zhengrong, a leading PV leader in China, Founder of Wuxi Suntech, Member of the Australian National Academy of Technical Sciences and Engineering, delivered a speech on stage.

Dr. Shi reviewed on the ups and downs that the PV industry as a whole has experienced together. He shared, that back when he returned to China to start his own business over 20 years ago, our PV industry relied on foreign countries for equipment, raw materials, markets, talents, and capital. Through 20 years of dedication, our PV industry has made incredible progress in the specific power consumption of poly-Si production, wafer thickness and conversion efficiency, which has ultimately contributed to significant cost reductions in the industry.

Moreover, our conversion efficiency has always been at a high level thanks to improved raw material purity, improved crystal quality, better processes that can be achieved with our equipment, and other factors, among which the contribution of equipment manufacturers cannot be overlooked. Dr. Shi suggested that we should be proud of what our industry has achieved today. In the end, he expressed his hope that the inauguration of this new industrial park will bring new opportunities to S.C and new dynamics to our PV industry.

Zuo Guojun

The speech session concluded with a speech delivered by Mr. Zuo Guojun, Chairman of S.C.

On behalf of the board of directors, Mr. Zuo expressed his heartfelt thanks to all the distinguished guests for coming. In his speech, Mr. Zuo described the difficulties of S.C's entrepreneurial efforts as "an uphill battle". Ever since starting our business in 2003, our company has developed from zero products to dozens of products, and our products have evolved from the eco-friendly cleaning device to the six equipment series we have today. Our journey wouldn't have been possible without the great support of Dr. Shi, our close customers, our excellent suppliers, local governments, the industry association, investors, and all of the company's employees.

Mr. Zuo said, over the past 20 years, we have lived up to expectations, evolving from a follower, to a catch-up, then to a front-runner in the industry. The inauguration of Changzhou S.C's new industrial park is a new beginning for Changzhou S.C, which means that S.C is about to embark on a new journey. Looking to the future, S.C will continue to develop solar cell equipment while introducing moderate diversification, and we will adhere to long-term thinking and innovation-driven strategy and strive for new achievements.

After finishing his speech, Mr. Zuo invited the distinguished guest representatives onto the stage for the launching session. Together, the leaders pushed open the gateway to the new industrial park of Changzhou S.C. As the screen lit up, the music played, and the confetti burst, the launching session came to an end.

Exploring the Industrial Park

Later, the leaders and the guests took a tour around the newly built industrial park. Guided by the local staff, the guests explored the exhibition hall and the equipment workshop, and learned in depth about our company's modern workshop facilities and current products.

Till then, the activity of "Work Together with Unchanging Ambitions and Pioneer the Future - 20th Anniversary Celebration of S.C" drew to a successful conclusion.
